Much of what you mention covers the drivers behind adoption; people using a Mac for the first time themselves and then having other people see that they didn't get burnt doing it. I've been using a Mac for donkey's years, so I'm not really a good example, but your story is one of many that I read more and more of recently. So if you and other like you are anything to go by, Apple might do well to save the money on the adverts and give you guys a rebate as payment on your salesmanship...
